Leo I - Irregular Dwarf Galaxy LAAstro.com by Bill Patterson
Magnitude: 11.2 Size: 12' x9' Constellation: Leo Common Name or Description: Low surface brightness dwarf galaxy pretty much hidden by the glare of Regulus
Date Taken: December 26, 2006 Location: Sunglow Ranch, AZ Equipment: Takahashi FS-152 scope - STL4020 Exposure: LRGB = 90/20/30/30 Notes: I shot 10 minute exposures in luminance. Big mistake! The halo around Regulus is tough to tame in processing. The inverted image shows what is there in an interesting light.
